Current Volunteer Opportunities

Room Project Volunteers:  We are always looking for volunteers to assist with room projects.

Fundraising Volunteers:  We are looking forward to a number of exciting fundraisers and are looking for volunteers to help make these events a success.  Fundraisers are an important step toward raising money and awareness to help us achieve our mission.  The Funding Opportunities Committee will work with volunteers to plan the following fundraisers:

• Holiday Luncheon Fundraiser:  We are looking for six volunteers to coordinate food, desserts, a theme with decorations, and table centerpiece auction items for our annual fundraiser, which takes place in early December.
• Oktoberfest Fundraiser:  We are looking for eight volunteers to pick out a menu, theme, and silent auction items for this adult event that will be held in the fall of 2011.

Committee Volunteers:  We are looking for individuals that are interested in taking an active role in our committees.  The following committees are currently looking for volunteers to assist with their efforts:

• Funding Opportunities: We are looking for four volunteers with nonprofit fundraising experience to help identify and develop fundraisers, among other things.
• Marketing & Promotion: We are looking for two or three volunteers that have marketing experience in development, presentations, external communications, public relations, plan and development of multi-media campaigns, and social networking.
• Finance Committee: We are looking for two or three volunteers with a bookkeeping experience.
• Technology Committee: We are looking for two volunteers with experience in software management, among other things.
• Design Group: We are looking for volunteers with professional interior design experience to design, manage, and/or execute one of our room projects.
• Volunteer Management: We are looking for two volunteers who have experience with volunteer management to help implement our new volunteer management plan.

Office Assistance/Administrative Volunteers: We are looking for volunteers who would like to assist our board and committees with administrative tasks such as mailings and data entry.
