Wendy's Walk For Kids
Join us as we take Steps to a Brighter Future by participating in the Wendy's Walk for Kids! Our goal is to raise $100,000 to be distributed in equal amounts to: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, The Children's Home, A Room to Heal and The Institute for Child Development at Binghamton University.
Who Can Register?
EVERYONE! Adults, children, individuals, families, co-workers, clubs, teams, organizations, schoolmates and friends-all are welcome!
How Do I Register?
You can register on-line at www.wendyswalkforkids.com. Or you can pick up a registration form and pledge sheet at area Wendy's Restaurants. Complete the Registration Form and submit it, along with your $10 registration fee (18 years or older) and pledges during one of two registration times: Saturday, June 26th, 9:00am-5:00pm at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open (Enjoie Golf Course) or at the walk on Sunday, June 27th 8:30am-1:00pm.
When Do I Walk?
Teams will gather at the 1st and 10th tees at 1:45pm on Sunday, June 27th. The 2 mile walk will begin at 2:00pm.
Is There a Cost to Enter the Open on June 27th?
Admission to the Dick's Sporting Goods Open is FREE to registered walk participants on Sunday, June 27th.
Is There a Cost to Enter the Wendy's Walk for Kids?
There is a $10.00 registration fee for walkers 18 years and older. Walkers receive a Wendy's Walk for Kids t-shirt (while supplies last). Kids 17 and under walk for free and also receive a Wendy's Walk for Kids t-shirt (while supplies last).
Is There a Required Amount of Money I Must Raise?
No. All participants are asked to raise as much money as they can to help these four most worthy charities.
How Do I Collect Money, and Where Do I Send It?
- An email pledge form with secure online credit card payment options is available for you to use at: www.wendyswalkforkids.com. This is a great way to conveniently encourage donations by sending an email to friends and family!
- A pledge sheet is available for you to share with friends and family to encourage donations. You can download this pledge sheet at www.wendyswalkforkids.com or you may pick one up, along with your registration form, at are Wendy's Restaurants. Checks should be made payable to "Broome County Community Charities", which will be receiving and distributing the funds for this event.
Money should be turned in at the Wendy's Walk for Kids registration table on Sunday, June 27, 8:30am-1:00pm at the Dick's Sporting Goods Open. If you are unable to be present at this time, please mail the pledges you collected to: Wendy's Walk for Kids, Attn: Joan Comerford, 27 Central Avenue, Cortland, NY 13045. Any donations made online at www.wendyswalkforkids.com will automatically be sent to Broome County Community Charities.
