Tommy's Room

Tommy is an adorable 10 year old boy, he has a diagnosis of Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare disorder that results in a number of physical and cognitive challenges. He has also undergone many surgeries to correct a severe curvature of the spine.
The design team, Cindy Rotella and Laurie Abess, interviewed Tommy and were given many ideas to get started on the Superhero themed room design! They chose a soothing blue-grey for the walls, gave him more storage and organized the space, and they added a drawing desk where Tommy can be creative! Tommy loves Superheroes and Star Wars, so the décor reflects this. Cindy even created a custom mural for Tommy featuring Hulk, Captain America, and Darth Vader.
