Myleanna's Room

Myleanna, age 7, had a below the knee leg amputation earlier this year after she was involved in an accident. She has continued to wear a smile and maintains a positive attitude. When meeting with Myleanna, she shared with us her love of all things beach and dolphin so we decided to turn her room into an underwater wonderland featuring teal colors, dolphin bedding, and an ocean wave nightlight.
We took her extra closet and turned it into a cozy book nook. Myleanna loves arts and crafts so we added a craft table and filled it with ocean and mermaid themed craft kits.

A Room to Heal would like to thank A Step Ahead Prosthetics for donating an American Girl doll that looks like Myleanna down to her prosthetic left leg. We'd also like to thank Dan Brown and Jason Brown for their time spent installing her new bamboo laminate flooring. The room remodel was led by Lisa LaBarre, Jessica Duncan, Elizabeth Johnson, Deanna Shovlowsky, and Joe Johnson.
