AJ's Room

AJ is an incredible young man who experienced a life-changing spinal cord injury. In the face of this challenge, an amazing community of individuals, businesses, and contractors came together to make his home accessible—ensuring it’s a place where he can continue to heal and thrive.

A Room to Heal was honored to be part of this journey by creating a cozy, calming space tailored just for him. We focused on comfort, functionality, and serenity:
- Soft new bedding and curtains to create a warm and peaceful atmosphere
- A soothing wall fountain to bring the sounds of nature indoors
- A multi-functional ottoman that doubles as extra seating or a twin bed
- A fold-away desk designed for wheelchair accessibility
- Shelving to display keepsakes, cards, and cherished memories
- An Alexa system to give AJ voice control over his environment

We're so proud to be part of this transformation and grateful to everyone who helped make it possible. AJ’s strength and spirit continue to inspire us all. We were so glad we could play a small role in making his home a healing space.
