Connor's Room

Connor is a 9-year-old boy who has Neurofibromatosis. He was first diagnosed with tumors in his brain and on the left optic nerve at age 3. The doctors were just keeping an eye on them up until this past December when they noticed the tumor had grown and another was growing on his right optic nerve. Connor has been going to Syracuse for Chemotherapy treatments since January and has to have them for 60 weeks.

Because of his frequent migraines, we are installing a dimmer switch along with a new light fixture in his room and adding room-darkening curtains. Connor will also get soft new carpet, new bedroom furniture including a place for his friends to sleep when he has sleep-overs, a closet system, and décor that reflects his hobbies of collecting rocks and stuffed animals, as well as his love of the outdoors and fishing.
