Eva's Room

Eva's healing space is our 60th room project!

Eva was born at just 22 week and 18 ounces. She has health issues stemming from her premature birth. She has declining vision due to retinal bleeds as an infant and is fed via feeding tube and IV and has to sit in her room for lengths of time while receiving nutrition.

All elements of the room were designed with Eva's health needs in mind. The dresser drawers have cutouts which make it easy for Eva to see where to grasp the drawers to open them. Art created for the room is meant to be touched, so she can enjoy it even with poor vision. Fresh paint brightens up the room and much needed storage was added. A new TV will help keep her entertained while she completes her feedings and smooth flooring to make it easier to move her IV pole around in the room.

We hope you love your new space, Eva!

Thank you to National Floor Center for installing a new floor, Michael Miller Fabric for the donation of fabric for her curtains and other elements in the space, and to our volunteers for all of their help!
