Nathanael's Room

Nathanael, is a 8 year old boy who his family calls “NATE THE GREAT!” Nathanael has Mitochondrial disease, Autism and a Seizure disorder. But the medical conditions that he endures every day do not stop him from going to school and playing the sports he loves.

Team leaders, Caroline Federowicz and Colleen McMahon have designed a room so at the end of a full day, Nate has a calm place to unwind and sooth his painful joints: A place where he and his family can relax while doing homework and enjoying quiet time together. Nathanael is also a huge Boston Red Sox fan. “BE STRONG NATE!”
