Raelynn's Room

Meet Raelynn, an adorable, giggly 5-year-old with Rett Syndrome, a rare neurological disorder that affects motor skills and language. Our goal? To create a soothing sensory space where Rae can feel calm, comforted, and joyful.
Rae loves Mickey Mouse, story time, lights, swinging, music, and anything purple, so we filled her new room with everything she loves! From a projector nightlight that puts Mickey on the ceiling to blackout curtains and cozy textures, every detail was thoughtfully chosen just for her.
To make her life easier as she grows, we included a sofa that converts into a bed so she can rest downstairs. We also added barn-style doors to keep the space flexible, open for family time or quiet when she needs to rest.
Her laughter, smile, and excitement told us all we needed to know: Raelynn loves her new room!
👏 Huge thanks to Amanda Patch for leading her second room this year, to JD Wright Construction for going above and beyond, and to our dedicated volunteers for making this space truly special for Rae.
