The Children's Home Wyoming Conference Community Room

The Mission of the Children's Home is to enhance the safety, stability, and well-being of our children, families and their communities.
A team of volunteers from A Room to Heal created a healing environment at The Children’s Home, making over their family visitation room. This space will be used as a safe and comfortable space for parents to interact with their children, play with them, and help them with homework. Before we got started, the space was not very welcoming and wasn’t reflective of the purpose of the room, to be a space that both the children and parents feel is inviting and like home. New furniture, paint, murals, accessories and toys create a space that will allow parents and their children to be comfortable, feel at home, and strengthen and heal the bond between them. Over 150 children a month will use when they are visiting with their parents.
A generous donation from SEFCU made this project possible. We hope that it will help heal the bonds between all of the children and their parents who spend time in this room.
Thank you to Nancy and Cheryl, for project managing this room project, to Bruce Greig for his artistic talents, and all of the volunteers who helped with this project!
